No, you do not need a valid CPR certification for CMAS

What counts as full-time work experience?

Applicant shall be employed as a Medical Office Administrative Specialist for a minimum of 5 yearsout of the past 7 years. Work requirement is assumed to be full-time (40 hours per week). May be a combination of part time settings

What if I graduated more than 4 years ago?

If you graduated more than four years ago, email a copy of your transcripts, diploma, or certificate to documents@americanmedtech.org

Can I apply before graduation?

Yes, students in their final semester or those finishing their externship can begin the application process. However, final transcripts are needed after graduation.

Which forms do I upload?
  • If you graduated within the last 4 years, contact your school and arrange for provide final, official and signed transcripts to AMT by emailing it to documents@americanmedtech.org.
  • If you graduated longer than 4 years ago, email a copy of your transcripts, diploma, or certificate to documents@americanmedtech.org.
  • If employment verification is needed, download the appropriate employment verification form on the AMT Resource Centerto provide to your employer. Return the completed documents to AMT via the instructions provided on the bottom of the form.
